Friends at Rehab

At the other rehab – not the class – I have made a large number of friends. No matter what time I arrive, I have great conversations with many people. It makes me feel like I am back in the world and not so isolated.

I even have to build in “talking time.” It usually takes over 30-minutes to work my way back to the warm up area.

I love it.

I have learned a lot.

I have laughed a lot.

I have met some fine people.

We talk about politics, the stock market, nail salons, doctors, magazines, music, health, jokes, education, the weather, restaurants, and many other things.

Even though I have oxygen in a backpack and a candela in my nose, everyone treats me as if I were healthy.

I feel normal there.
