Let the Madness Begin

Today is the day before the madness begins. A quiet day ahead. This morning, we are going over the hill to visit Michael's friend Sergei who was released from the hospital yesterday. He had a heart attack. What is so interesting is that he had a crushing hand injury at work over a week ago and the doctors believe he threw a clot from that injury causing the attack. He lives alone, so we'll bring some cooked food from Whole Foods to get him through a few days.

We are going to chase the sun afterwards. It has been so cold and wet the entire month of July and now continues into August. We want to eat lunch somewhere where we can enjoy the sunshine before returning home to the fog. 

The crazy week ahead includes two doctor appointments, two field trips with the day care kids and a visit with Natalie, Winnie and Oliver. Also, Michael leaves Friday morning for the weekend to Hot August Nights. It's an annual car thing in Reno, NV. I am staying home to recover from a crazy busy week.
