Lungs, SIM, Bass, Fog and Officially Old

I received another e-mail from Dr. K. after I posted yesterday. She arranged to see me in just over a week for a quick listen to my lungs and a visit to the PFT lab in the clinic. Only Spirometry and DLCO. Hopefully, the acute bronchitis is gone.

My new iPhone decided to quit working in the middle of phone calls or while using its own maps application. SIM Invalid. It is getting worse. We are going to have the Geniuses take a look at it this morning.

It was a late night last night. We worked on Beethoven's 5th Symphony - First and Second movements - then the Elgar Third movement. I missed Gerry but somehow, with the smaller orchestra and the French horns MIA last night, my bass just rang throughout the rehearsal space. It felt great. After getting home, I read online and watched parts of the debate so we didn't get to sleep until after 11:00. By 4:00AM, we were both awake and ready to go this morning. I am REALLY going to need a nap later this afternoon.

The weather has changed. The fog came in with a vengeance around noon yesterday while I was getting my haircut. Shorts. T-shirt. Sandals. I froze driving home! Summer is surely gone.

And finally, we have proof that we are now officially old. A recliner. Two recliners. Matching. It has come to this. Michael has always wanted a recliner but lately, he has been wanting to replace our leather sofa in the den with two matching recliners. I have been able to stand firm...until earlier this week. Mom and I were in a store and there was one great recliner. On sale. Long story short, we pick them up tomorrow.
