Going for a Ride

The new span on the left and the old bridge on the right. It will be demolished soon.
It is predawn. We leave within the hour for a two-hour drive towards Sacramento. A friend of a friend has asked for Michael's opinion on what he should do with his car. It is our chance to take the Porsche, with the top down, over the new Bay Bridge for the first time. It should be spectacular!

In the meantime, we are watching the recording of the Formula 1 race. So far, it looks like the old guard is gone and the new kids and different teams are here.

I worked in the gardens early yesterday and had the most marvelous lunch afterwards. The pizza was delicious and I was able to freeze three servings of it for later this week. I was also able to take a nap before Michael came home. I fell into bed at 7:30 last night and snored the night away.
