Between Celebrations

This is the day between. September 1st - Anniversary. September 3rd - Michael's birthday. Today - the day between.

The day between when we got married, we went to a little Art Faire up on the mountain where William ended up going to elementary school. We bought a thank you present for my parents, dropped by to see them then took off for the Honeymoon from Hell the next morning. You can read about it here.

The day between. We actually had to wait to begin the honeymoon until Michael's birthday as he turned 21-years old and the car insurance kicked in. It has always been the nice lazy recovery, planning day.

This year, it is a work day. A regular day in our lives. Rehab and errands for me and work for him. We are even driving British Don's car over the pass tonight to drop it off for tires. A day between.

The Anniversary was quiet but sweet. After the house painter arrived to look at the possible job and will be emailing the estimate, we hopping in the Porsche with the top down and drove down the coast. It was...perfect. We were early enough to avoid the tourists so the place was pretty empty when we got there. When we left, it was PACKED. We drove back up the coast, watched the two Giants games, sat outside, read a book, had a glass of champagne with pate and brie for dinner (did not go down well) and we were in bed by 8:00PM. A simple celebration together.
