Low Carb Dinner with Friends

Dave and Lori are fully on the low carb wagon for health reasons. They have lost weight and will be adding exercise beginning this week.  They are not considering it a diet but a life change. They have been on their bandwagon for about six months and have lost weight but there is more to go. Dinner last night was the best BBQ Rosemary Chicken I have ever eaten: cooked yet juicy and so flavorful. They also served roasted carrots and a nice salad. Perfect!

Joining us for dinner was our old friend, and Dave cousin, Tim, his wife, her mother and their daughter arrived after the daughter's ballet performance at her college in Marin County. It went well and she was pleased with her performance. We had a ball. And we left at 10:00 so I am not wrecked this morning.

Do I mention that the Giants rallied and won the World Series Game #4? Game #5 is this afternoon before they fly to Kansas City on Monday.

So, on the menu of things to do today: walking in the sunshine along the ocean cliffs, vacuuming the corners of the guest room, washing and ironing the ten shirts I discovered were soiled while getting dressed last night, turning on the self-cleaning oven for the very first time, filling out our ballots, planting Horsetail Bamboo in the new planter then preparing the list of places to take Anna and Doug and what to have in the house to serve for light dinners. And cocktails.

A Sunday. Happy Sunday to you.
