My mom had a biopsy on a small area just above her eye but below her eyebrow. It came back positive for cancer. Surgery is scheduled for Tuesday.
We will drive the two-hour trip to insure we arrive by 7:30AM to get her to the hospital on time. When she is released after the surgery, we will make sure she is settled before our drive home. It will be a long day.
What is worrisome is that this spot had been there for over a decade. Many doctors looked at it and dismissed it. It began to interfere with her makeup so she finally requested its removal. I so hope the doctors will be able to get all the cells and that it hadn’t spread.
The biopsy coming back as cancer was a very big surprise to her and it has knocked the wind from her sails. She is still dealing with a lot of back pain so this just added to that stress. Life is beginning to become overwhelming. I worry that she is beginning to give up.
