Chicken Shawarma |
Mom and I arrived to her eye appointment in time, had a great lunch afterwards, bought a plastic tablecloth for the new table and found a Costco with a hearing aid department. She was shock to discover the price for the same type of hearing aid at Costco was going to be about $4,000 cheaper than the ones she bought somewhere else nine years ago. She was dancing!
The secret success of my diet is to have prepared meals available. I don't have to think when I am hungry. Meals are planned and ready for the day. So this morning, I am making a breakfast for four days, lunches for four days and tonight's dinner before leaving for the rehab class. Hungry? It will be ready and waiting for me. Great food.
Here are the recipes for the week. Again, this is food that is properly processed for those of us on longtime prednisone therapy. Calories and carb are the driving forces. To lose weight, 1,200 calories a day. To maintain weight, 1,400 calories a day. Not a lot of leeway there!
